The Ramblings of a Somewhat Unstable Mind

Grown men have better things to play with!

1) The name given to grown men whose love for playing with Tonka Toys increases proportionally with the number of nagging complaints received from their partners.

2) Men who refuse to live in reality. (“But honey! This is better than sex!” – could be a sign that the woman is no longer enthusiastic in bed, or that the man has lost all touch with reality)

Do you have any suggestions for a `fake word that should be a real word of the day” word? Leave your suggestions as a comment (one suggestion per comment, please). Please include a short definition of the word. Acronyms are, by default of my using one today, allowed.

I will do my best to include your suggestion in an upcoming posting of the “Word of the day, 2012”

The only rule for this 356 post blog is that all words must be fake, and must have something to do with blogging or the people who blog.

subject to change. words may appear closer in a mirror than they actually are. 9 out of 10 librarians mousey introverts, 19 times out of 20. This site is not endorsed by the SPCB (the second SPC (society of the prevention of Cruelty to Animals is the first one), the apathetic “Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Bloggers”.

  1. Well done Marc! Oh those Tonka trucks they are fun to play with to a point…
Glad I could help with the fun posts on your blog!

  2. Thanks for the visit, and the suggestion for my word of the day post!

I had a briefcase full of the old metal Tonka cars and trucks, and a water-barrel full of hockey cards when i was a teen – i went to camp for a summer, and when i came home they had all been junked. Today, just the cards would be enough to buy a house. Moral? Never put down a man for playing with his toys!

  3. Yes, I have been using a neologism (new word) for a while in my articles:

“teachnology” which means, obviously, teaching with technology. Not an Archimedes moment, but then I am not a genius.

  4. Thanks for the visit, Leonel! Anything I can do to amuse, I try!

  5. Holly, I know, it’s crazy! All of a sudden I just ppepod out. I’m kind of nervous to go to the doctor today to see how much weight I have gained. Our scale broke around the time I found out I was expecting, so I have no idea how much I weigh.
