The Ramblings of a Somewhat Unstable Mind

Blogophobia

(Blah-go-foh-bee-ya)

1)  The crippling fear of blogging (especially when you are a “professional writer”).  Sufferers can’t blog without breaking out in sweat, with tremors in their hands and arms.

2)  An all-consuming fear of reading a blog for fear that it will bore you so completely that you will die a horrible death.

I promise I won't blog again!

*note;  if you have any suggestions for a fake, blogging-related word or acronym that you like, despise or use, please leave it as a comment, along with a short definition and the phonetics. Your suggestions may well be an upcoming daily feature!

Subject to change without notice. Words may appear closer in a mirror than they actually are. 9 out of 10 librarians  are mousey introverts, 19 times out of 20, yet still manage to appear to be sexy. This site is not endorsed by the SPCB (the second SPC (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty) in the phone book – the SPCA (Animals) hogged the first spot on me again! Those brutes!) the apathetic and appallingly apropos “Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Bloggers” (donations accepted and suggested).

  1. Hehe I hope you don’t get that affliction! I personally only experience tremors when I get a really great idea and can’t wait to type it out! Well done MB.
Oh in def’n 2, change the word ‘doe’ to ‘die’. Hehe there’s the writer in me just dying to get out.

    • Thanks for the visit, Christy, and thanks very much for catching that and letting me know!

I find that now, I have been keeping one of those dollar store, fake-leather bound note taking books with me at all times, and jot down things as i think them, that way I have the thoughts and whatnot penned down, and don’t end up scratching my head, thinking “what the hell was it that i was thinking about? I had this great idea for a blog and what the hell was it?”

Oh, and I wouldn’t mind seeing some more of that writer in you getting out!

BTW – have fun in that storm? (Vancouver Island, right?)
