The Ramblings of a Somewhat Unstable Mind

Blog, Dan! Blog your brains out!

1)  A former Democratic Senator for the State of New York, known for blogging his brains out with a teenaged, female political advocate.

2)  What the people from Ireland yell when their hero, Dan O’Vitch, competes in the annual Irish Blogging Championships.  The record is 2 blogs and 48 steins of Bloggy Beer.

*note;  if you have any suggestions for a fake, blogging-related word or acronym that you like, despise or use, please leave it as a comment, along with a short definition and the phonetics. Your suggestions may well be an upcoming daily feature!

Subject to change without notice. Words may appear closer in a mirror than they actually are. 9 out of 10 librarians  are mousey introverts, 19 times out of 20, yet still manage to appear to be sexy. This site is not endorsed by the SPCB (the second SPC (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty) in the phone book – the SPCA (Animals) hogged the first spot on me again! Those brutes!) the apathetic and appallingly apropos “Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Bloggers” (donations accepted and suggested).

  1. I think there should be a law against politicians blogging. You cannot appreciate the temperature of their hot air on the Internet.

Inblognia N-blahg-nee-ah The condition of sleeplessness caused by the incessant intonation of “You’ve got mail!” when a new post goes live on a blog you follow.

The condition of sleeplessness caused when you absolutely must finish a blog post, especially if the post is not due for more than three days.

  2. Hello! Would you mind if I share your blog with my myspace group? There’s a lot of folks that I think would really enjoy your content. Please let me know. Many thanks

    • Please do, and thanks for dropping by!

      • Now that the Super Bowl is over and the most deserving team won, and the gocaamule and chopped liver have been consumed, how about, to honor the occasion, we embark on a thought experiment?Imagine that Maury and all the DAA42, plus all the lurkers, are on a jet that makes an emergency landing on a remote tropical island, during a solar storm that causes us all to be stuck on the island for a year before being rescued (or evicted, depending on how it went for you).It turns out not to be like the TV hit, Lost, but more like Lord of the Flies, but with grown-ups. (Oops, I forgot; most of us are Americans, and are essentially infantile.) The outcome is much better, because we are an aware bunch.Anyway, we turn it into a year-long retreat, training to become facilitators of New Monasticism, as the Palin administration will be upon us when we eventually return. There are plenty of coconut palms, avocado trees, fresh lagoons, and there was a shipment of Italian and Chilean wines below that we rationed successfully. We found it right next to the cases of chopped liver. Each of us had brought books we were reading that were on the subjects often discussed on this blog.Forget desert-island books; I picked out a lush island that can satisfy most of our wants. There were even a bunch of cute, young athletetic types on board the flight who love to party.Okay, when we pooled our library to study the essentials, we discovered we had the best curriculum possible. So, what books or authors were included on the list? (Just for fun, there were also some DVDs of the most thought-provoking documentaries, dramas, and comedies, as well as`some great music CDS.)Let the compilation begin!

  3. From where to start blogging?Suggest good blogging websites and also hot topics to write blog on.?

  4. This is why we at Web Design SEM go the extra mile to make sure that your profiles and web citations are ideal, providing you a leg
    up on the competition.
