The Ramblings of a Somewhat Unstable Mind

Bleater

(Blee-T’er)

One quick sentence and I'm off to see if she's a real person or not!

1)  A blogger who cheats by posting a one or two sentence post, usually saying not much more than “sorry for not putting a post out today but I was really busy!”,  What they’re actually saying is that they thought they may have had a chance at a real life for a minute there, but came back to their senses the following day with an epic, 4500 word post (which said about as much as the one sentence post did)

2)  A really old blog or blogger (man, she’s a real bleater, that one!)

* note ; Today’s post was brought to you by me! That’s right, me, myself, no help at all! Get over it, already!

*note;  if you have any suggestions for a fake, blogging-related word or acronym that you like, despise or use, please leave it as a comment, along with a short definition and the phonetics. Your suggestions may well be an upcoming daily feature!

Subject to change without notice. Words may appear closer in a mirror than they actually are. 9 out of 10 librarians  are mousey introverts, 19 times out of 20, yet still manage to appear to be sexy. This site is not endorsed by the SPCB (the second SPC (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty) in the phone book – the SPCA (Animals) hogged the first spot on me again! Those brutes!) the apathetic and appallingly apropos “Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Bloggers” (donations accepted and suggested).

LOL, this ‘bleater’ (of the older variety, hehehe) thinks the second definition is really funny – and that the first definition is both true and frustrating … lol. 🙂

  2. Thanks for the visit, Julie! Yeah, I’ve stopped following 7 or 8 blogs in the past 2 days because all they are doing is pumping out extremely short posts with clever titles! I will admit to writing one like it, but it was an obvious joke (title; |Do you want to make $10,000 a day writing online?”, content; “Me too!”)

Ah well, all they are doing is losing followers; I would rather not post anything than post something uselessly short!

  3. Hehe I have read those posts that say “well I can’t think of anything to say…” Seriously?!! I went to the post to see the blogger had nothing to say! I think that is the day to not publish a post just for the sake of publishing a post… all is better when there is a message behind the writing.

    • Yeah, and i am following one guy, who does follow me and leave comments occasionally (but always hits the Like button) who pumps out 4 -5 short, 2-3 sentence posts per day… he is down to like 7 followers now, from what i saw as a high of over 30… karma, it’s a bitch!
