The rise and fall of Ziggy Blogdust and the Spiders from Mars
(Oh, heck! Just mouth the damn thing! I’m not gonna do phonetics for this one!!! – It’s Ziggy, if you don’t know it, as Bob Seger sings, Turn the Page!)
1) The world-wide critically acclaimed super-album by rock’s all-time, glam superstar and rock demi-God David Bloggie, always lovingly known as “The Thin White Blogger”. He blogs about an alien who comes to earth to implore us to blog about taking care of the planet or face imminent demise, from ourselves or alien invasion and extermination. Along the way, after telling us we had 5 years left to live, he blogs about becoming a rock star, and after becoming a star, committed a rock and roll suicide.
2) The album that introduced glam rock into the music scene, unfortunately leading the way for KISS, one of his lower points in life, lower than sleeping with Iggy Pop, Mick Jagger, Andy Warhol and a whole whack of Heroin. Aside from KISS, he also influenced Lou Reed, Iggy Pop and another of his lovers, Freddie Mercury, and was influenced by Sid Barrett of Pink Floyd fame (the original lyricist/vocalist).
