BTV

(Bee-Tee-Vee)

Jimmy accidentally stumbled upon BTV and was never heard from again.

1)  The new, state-of-the-art television station dedicated to all things blog-related. Now more popular than PBS, BTV is commonly mistaken for “Black TV”, Lord Black’s blogging-related media empire, where they have 4 subscribers yet an annual income of over 27 Billion dollars.

UBA

(You-Bee-Eh)

Now made up of only 4 States, the BSA is now the least-desired country for bloggers to live in.

1)  The acronym for the country “The United Blogs of America”, a split-off splinter group formed when a group of bloggers separated from the USA, so that they could write what they wanted without being persecuted or prosecuted.

2) The splinter wrestling group that is made up of failed bloggers, the “United Bloggers Association”.

BABB

(Bahh-Bb)

Not only can’t she sing, act or dance, but she can’t write blogs for the life of her either, but she has one of the most popular posts in history! Karma, what a bitch!

1) The acronym for the campaign-style group “Bloggers Against Bad Blogging”. One of the most common sayings among group members is “I’m not only a member, I bought the company!”.

2) The nickname of Barbara Streisand’s blogging alter ego.

Blogtimatum

(BlahG-Ti-Mate-Umm)

It’s been a blast!

1)  What i am making to my readers – if i don’t get at least 5 likes and 5 comments on this “Word of the Day”, it will be my last. People who i helped when they were starting out no longer drop by, and those who do drop by don’t leave comments, don’t “Like” nor vote up… reciprocity, my friends! If i do for you, you’re supposed to do for me…

With enough email support i may return if i do in fact leave for now… thanks so very much to my loyal readers! It’s been fun!

Idjut

(Id-JhUt)

Most definitely not saying Canadians are idiots, but we do say it “Idjut” more often than not… AND, we are a nice people, so nice that we may even keep going back to crappy blogs over and over out of some sense of requirement or reciprocity…

1)  A person who writes a crappy blog post expecting people to keep coming back, much like this one!

2)  Someone who keeps going back to a blog post that is not worthy of their presence, Canadian-style! (idjut = idiot;  but spoken by a Canadian)

Blogtastic

(BlahGh-Tass-TicK)

One of the first blogtastic posts was about a wall that encircled an entire country, sequestering it from outsiders – something the US-Mexican border could sorely use…

1)  When a blog is so great that there is no other word than “blogtastic” to describe it.  Unfortunately, blogtastic is the most infrequently used word in the blogosphere.

2)  A small, tick-like bug that will cause disease and possible death to a blog that is written in the woods. Moral of the story? Don’t write  bush-league posts, or you may just die a horrible, slow and agonizing death!

3)  A  blog about a really fantastic accomplishment or endeavor.

bloggavan

(Blah-Gah-Van)

The once was a poet who didn’t know it, and she wrote of the injustice of the stone name pumice…. (Hey! She’s the poet, not me! Just visit her site to see!!!)

1)  A caravan of bloggers. They are usually spotted by going around in circles, with the first van appearing to be right behind the last van.

*NOTE:  This “Word of the Day” feature was suggested by Julie Catherine! Please visit her blog site and give some of her wonderful poetry a read! Even if you’re not a fan of poetry, much like myself, you may be converted! Or, at least love what she does! Visit JC here;  http://juliecatherinevigna.wordpress.com/

Blogghettios

(Blah-Get_Tea-OhZ)

Let’s see… “ABC”, okay – how about The Jackson 5’s “Easy as ABC”?

1)  The canned soup/pasta mixture that makes kids want to blog, and grown ups want to run and hide. (As Julie Catherine said, “Oh oh, Blogghettios!”)

2)  The source of more blog posts than you would be willing to believe!

Bloggios

(Blah-Gee-OhZ)

source for not only a great breakfast, but a great blog too! (Use only as prescribed by a doctor or a grade school librarian)

1)  The great morning cereal for bloggers. Each spoonful is a great heaping of daily vitamins, as well as inspiration for writing. (okay, I’ve done better!)

SPCB

(Ess-Pee-See-Bee)

Ack! No, wait! I can do better! Please, not the SPCB!

1) The acronym for the group “The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Bloggers”.  A well-known organization where you can drop off your unwanted bloggers for them to find new “forever” homes for them. Unfortunately, most unwanted bloggers are euthanized as quickly as a few days after being dropped off, since nobody really wants these twits in their homes.

ENTER YOUR SUGGESTIONS AS COMMENTS ON ANY RECENT (WITHIN 2 DAYS OF PRESENT DATE) “WORD OF THE DAY” FEATURE.  PLEASE GIVE THE PHONETICS (PHONE-ETT-ICKS) AND ONE OR TWO DEFINITIONS, AS WELL AS A LINK TO YOUR BLOG (WHICH WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE POST FEATURING YOUR SUGGESTION).  FUNNY SUGGESTIONS ENCOURAGED, BUT NO PROFANITY, PLEASE!
